Our Story

Dr. Richardson and Dr. Stewart have been mastering their practice over the course of ten years. Since the beginning, they have worked together to establish a reputation for delivering top-quality dermatology results, all while prioritizing patient care and comfort. 

Dr. Richardson and Dr. Stewart met during their Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. There, they fell in love with Mohs surgery as well as with each other… then married a few years later.  After working for a large group practice for a few years, they decided to open their own Mohs Surgery Center. The practice opened its doors in the Fall of 2016, and they have now been practicing together for more than 10 years. Delivering optimum care to patients in their most vulnerable moments is the mission statement that drives the practice. It is truly a blessing to be able to care for patients in their time of need. 

Meet the Mira Vista Team

A medical team as well as a married couple, Dr. Richardson and Dr. Stewart are experts at working together in sync. Both doctors are board certified dermatologists, and they are highly committed to excellence when it comes to your surgical dermatology needs.

Mira Vista Dermatology was created to help patients who were in need of removing cancer cells in their skin. That’s why the duo focuses on Mohs surgery, a procedure that is  widely considered to be the most effective treatment for many basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas. This is especially the case when the areas containing those cells are delicate, or otherwise cosmetically significant.

What is a Mohs Surgeon?

Both Dr. Steven Richardson and Dr. Faith Stewart completed a Procedural Dermatology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center under the directorship of the highly-acclaimed Mohs surgeon, Dr. Robert Stanley Taylor. While they were there, the doctors performed over 2000 Mohs surgeries combined. Over the years, they have continued to acquire extensive experience that has enabled them to provide the highest level of care.

Here at Mira Vista Surgical Dermatology, we value your time. We do our best to avoid overbooking our schedule so that we can ensure that we provide service on-time and deliver the best experience for your visit. 

Please note: If you’re unable to keep your appointment, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to provide advanced notice of cancellation may result in a $50 fee for clinic visits and a $150 fee for surgical and procedural visits. These fees are not reimbursable by your insurance company. If you are late to your appointment, we will attempt to accommodate you but may request that you reschedule.
