STEVEN RICHARDSON, M.D.
Dr. Steven Richardson specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology. He is passionate in making sure every patient receives the very best in dermatologic care.
While attending Texas Tech University, Dr. Richardson played 4 years of Division-I baseball and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. After finishing his internship in internal medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Detroit, MI, he then completed his residency training in dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. Dr. Richardson was then awarded a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. While training under Dr. R. Stan Taylor, Dr. Richardson developed his skills in both Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Richardson is double boarded in both Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatology. Dr. Richardson is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery. He has co-authored and published research regarding the effects of stress on the skin and has twice presented at the annual American Academy of Dermatology meetings.
In his free time, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with his two girls, working on his golf game, playing the guitar, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Faith Stewart, whom he jokes is his boss both at work and at home.
FAITH STEWART, M.D.
Dr. Stewart specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology. She graduated with summa cum laude honors and the highest GPA of all student-athletes in her class from Wofford College where she played four years of Division-I soccer. Dr. Stewart received her medical training at the University of South Carolina and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society which represents the top tier of medical graduates. After finishing her internal medicine internship at Carolinas Medical Center, she completed a dermatology residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Stewart was awarded a procedural dermatology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. There she refined her skills in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction under the directorship of Dr. R. Stan Taylor.
A board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Stewart has authored articles in several academic journals and has presented at national dermatology meetings. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Stewart believes in the importance of gaining a patient’s trust by developing a strong rapport in an atmosphere of courtesy and respect. She is dedicated to creating a compassionate environment in which each patient can feel comfortable and well informed throughout the treatment process.
Dr. Stewart is the mother of two sweet little girls who keep her busy when she is not in the office. Beyond spending time with her family, she enjoys traveling, reading, playing piano and staying active. She feels fortunate and privileged to have built a dermatology practice with her husband, Dr. Steven Richardson, and hopes that it is as much of a blessing to others as it has been to her.
